Coláiste Na Sceilge

Coláiste na Sceilge was opened in 1999 when Cahersiveen’s three secondary schools were amalgamated into one new state-of-the-art building comprising classrooms, science labs, a library, canteen, computer rooms, assembly hall and student’s common rooms.
In a beautiful location with breath-taking views of the Atlantic Ocean and mountains, the Coláiste has extensive grounds which include football fields, tennis courts and a modern gymnasium & sports hall.
The school is a co-ed Community College and serves all communities from Kells to Dromid to Caherdaniel.
Headmaster is Mr. John O’Connor, a Cahersiveen native, who was appointed in July 2009. Deputy Principal, Mr.Karl O’Connell School Secretaries, Ms. Geraldine O’Connell, Ms. Marion O’Connor.
The ASANA Language School occupies the Coláiste during the Summer months. The school provides its wondeful facilities to approximately 150 language students from around Europe who come to Cahersiveen to perfect their English. Visit www.asanaireland.com to find out more.
